A Fun Way To Sled
The atmosphere looked especially stable at Mount Diablo today.
A sledder wasn't going to take away my fun, so I punched off Juniper Launch. There are a couple of ways to sled down a mountain. A leisurely flight trying to stretch out the time, or the fun way. I'm not one for extreme, so I played just enough to put a smile on my face. Here is a short video from a short flight, enjoy.
To join the sky from one's feet and become truly bird like, moving through the air at will. To command a sophisticated, high performance machine great distances, above the earth powered only by dynamic air currents. For centuries flight was one of our greatest dreams, which today, we are fortunate to emulate in its purest form. Words can not describe the feeling of soaring like a bird or traveling silently over spectacular mountains. Beginning in 2010 I am attempting to chronicle my flights. I am an Advanced Rated Hang Glider Pilot and fly my Wills Wing Sport 2 155 at sites including Mount Diablo and Yosemite. I am also a licenced Glider Pilot flying my Schleicher ASW-27B Sailplane above the Mendocino Mountains.

Very nice vid, Matt. I especially loved watching you carve into the Thousand LZ - nice technique!
Nice Devil Mountain gesturing at the end, too - no unsightly finger-bangs! ;)

Bang!
5 Finger Bangs, Matt!
Well done!
